I’m kinda in love with this outfit. It shows how you can turn the basics (a t-shirt & jeans) into something great with outerwear and accessories.

I scored this poncho on sale at Target this weekend. They were having a 40% off sale and I couldn’t pass it up. This is actually my first time wearing a poncho. Before I lost weight I used to feel too fat in them. I think I lost weight so I could wear really flowy and baggy pieces. Ha!

This mockneck shirt is from Zara. I got three: black, white and stripes. I love how it fits and lately I’ve been loving high necks. I’ve also noticed that I’ve been into casual outfits featuring jeans lately. I’m not sure why but I’m going for it.

The real highlight of this outfit for me are my new boots. I got these on sale too! I was browsing around Urban Outfitters and saw that their shoes were $20 off. That might not seem like a lot but to me it totally made them worth it. I feel like I’m starting to have a black boot problem but in my defense all of my boots look different and have different purposes.

  • It’s been so great to be able to wear what I want now that I’m comfortable in my body! Losing weight was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done mentally but it’s really improved my life.

  • I’m the same way with baggier clothing; I want to wear it but I just feel fatter when I wear oversized sweaters and ponchos. Once I lose like 15 pounds, the plan is to start wearing looser clothing. Cute outfit! And yes, you definitely have a black boot problem. LOL!
